The Southern Arkansas men’s cross country team was second Friday as they hosted the 9th Annual Lois Davis Invitational.
Four Muleriders finished in the top ten as they finished second to GAC rivals Harding, only 15 seconds off the Bison total time.
Lexington Hilton paced the Muleriders once again, cutting 50 seconds from his career-best time set last week. The freshman finished second overall, only three seconds off from individual champion Mathias Cheboi from Grambling. Hilton's 24:55.8 time is the fourth fastest ever at the Lois Davis.
Anthony Vasquez, Jason Larsen and Nathaniel Zapata finished fifth, ninth and tenth as all three Muleriders recorded career-best times on their home course.
Every Muleriders runner set a career-best time on the night.
The Muleriders are back in action in two weeks' time as they compete in the Great American Conference Championship in Arkadelphia.
A total of 58 men ran the circuit.
