The Great American Conference has selected a Southern Arkansas University team member as its Player of the Week, for a second consecutive week.

For the weekend, the Muleriders went 2-2, with wins over Arkansas-Fort Smith and Missouri Western. For the week, the freshman catcher went 8-18 from the plate, including a 3-5 performance against Arkansas-Fort Smith that included a double and a grand slam, as well as scoring two runs. In his next game against Northwest Missouri, McGee went 2-5 with a triple and three RBIs.

McGee went 1-4 against Delta State and 2-4 against Missouri Western, drawing a walk and scoring a run in the Muleriders' last game against the Griffons in the HSU Invitational.

For the season, McGee is hitting .417, with four of his 10 hits being for extra bases; he has scored four runs, batting in another seven runs and walked three times while only striking out six times this season.

The Muleriders start open conference play this weekend as they take the trip back to Arkadelphia for a three-game series against Henderson State.
