Landon Chandler, a freshman at Magnolia High School, was recently recognized as an Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) All-American shooter during the Magnolia School Board meeting on January 11.

Chandler is the first ATA All-American shooter from the Magnolia trap teams.

Magnolia trap coach Dave Graham summarized Chandler’s accomplishments to the board. He registered 17,700 ATA targets last season, which was the most in Arkansas. Including practice rounds, he shot over 35,000 targets, which is over 1,400 boxes of shells. He represented the Magnolia School District by traveling over 10,000 miles to shoots in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri (twice), and North Carolina (twice).

During singles competition, Chandler registered 6800 targets. Each round is 100 targets in singles trap, with 100/100 being a perfect score. Landon's average score for the year was 96.49/100.

He is the son of Anna and Brandon Chandler.
