Retired Magnolia athletic director Marvin Lindsey is a new member of the Arkansas Activities Association Hall of Fame.

Marvin Lindsey, recently retired as athletic director for the Magnolia School District, was one of three administrators inducted Friday night into the 2019 Class of the Arkansas Activities Association Hall of Fame.

The award was presented during an event at the Hot Springs Convention Center.

The AAA, which regulates statewide extracurricular activities, including athletics, for member schools.

Lindsey was selected by the Arkansas High School Athletic Administrators Association as one of its three inductees. Also named were Tommy Tice of Harrison and Johnny Watson of Little Rock Christian.

Lindsey is a graduate of Magnolia High School and has a long career as a coach and administrator in the system. He played and coached basketball and presently serves as the district’s golf coach, in addition to serving as athletic director.
