The Magnolia Panthers basketball team will take the court Friday in their bid for a third consecutive Class 4A championship.

Tickets for boys ninth grade, junior varsity and varsity basketball games go on sale at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the Annex Building.

Tickets are $5 cash only, with a limit of six tickets to a purchaser.

Admission to Panther Arena will be limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ashdown game is a non-conference battle. The ninth-grade game starts at 5 p.m. Friday.

Magnolia, 26-0 and riding a 31-game winning streak, had been set to play Little Rock Mills on Friday, March 13 in a rematch of their 2019 title game. Magnolia won the 2019 championship over Mills 78-76 in overtime.

The Arkansas Activities Association, the sanctioning body for interscholastic athletics in the state, first postponed and then canceled the 2020 basketball championships after one day of games.

Magnolia and Mills were declared 2020 Class 4A co-champions.
