Garrion Curry will compete in the 2019 Junior Olympics that will be held Monday through Saturday in Greensboro, SC.

Garrion Curry, 14, of Magnolia, will compete in the 2019 Junior Olympics that will be held Monday through Saturday in Greensboro, SC.

Curry runs summer track with the Team Elite Track Club. This is his first season of summer track.

Curry, an A-B honor roll student who will be a freshman this fall, placed 2nd in the 100 at district competition in Little Rock (11.48) and 2nd in the 200 running (23.83).

He also placed 3rd and 4th respectively in both events at the Region 16 meet in Tulsa, OK to qualify for the Junior Olympics. He ranks 22nd in the 100 and 40th in the 200 going into the week long meet at North Carolina A&T.

Curry will also run on the 4x100 relay team so he has a chance to bring home three medals.

He is the son of Gary Curry and April Jones.

Curry is a junior high football running back.
