Fisheries biologists with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host a public input meeting at 6:30 p.m. tonight regarding fisheries management on Lake Columbia.

The meeting will be held at the Donald W. Reynolds Campus and Community Center at Southern Arkansas University.

The G&FC is developing a fishery management plan for the lake and invites local anglers to participate.

The management plan will deal with regulations, stocking, habitat, and any other concerns directly related to fishing on Lake Columbia. There will be a short presentation of the current status of the fishery followed by a period of structured public input concerning future management of the fishery.

A follow up meeting will be held at the same time and location on Thursday, January 31, to present the completed management plan and solicit final input.

People with questions may call Jason Olive or Jake Whisenhunt at the Camden Regional Office, 1-877-836-4612.
