War Memorial Stadium

War Memorial Stadium is located in Little Rock.

Arkansas and Arkansas State will play their first football game against each other in a contest set for September 6, 2025 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.

The news came Wednesday when Arkansas announced a new agreement with the state Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism to bring two additional Razorback football games to the Little Rock stadium.

Future seasons will see War Memorial Stadium play home to in-state matchups with Arkansas-Pine Bluff in 2021 (October 23, 2021) and 2024 (August 31, 2024) and Arkansas State in 2025.

The games against UAPB had been previously scheduled.

Arkansas will also play Western Carolina (September 2, 2023) at War Memorial Stadium in the 2023 season. As part of the amendment, previously scheduled games against Missouri will be moved to Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville.

“We are grateful to the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism and War Memorial Stadium for working with us to be able to host some historic in-state matchups at War Memorial Stadium, while also allowing us to host Southeastern Conference games on our campus,” said Hunter Yurachek, Arkansas vice chancellor and director of Athletics. “The Razorback program belongs to our entire state and as we have shown in many of our sports, it is important that we continue to maintain a presence in Central Arkansas. It is also essential we provide our coaching staff the opportunity to showcase our campus during SEC games to potential student-athletes.”

The 2025 game will be the first ever football contest between the Razorbacks and the Red Wolves. The game will mark ASU's first outing at War Memorial Stadium since playing Oklahoma State in Little Rock during the 2006 season.

"I'm happy the two FBS university football team's in our great state of Arkansas will have an opportunity to participate in a regional matchup at War Memorial Stadium in our capital city of Little Rock," said Terry Mohajir, ASU vice chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics.

“As an athletics director, you're always trying to provide an opportunity for your students and university community to experience an exciting atmosphere. I appreciate Hunter's willingness to provide those experiences for his school as well,” Mohajir said.

Arkansas State now has three non-conference games, including Arkansas, on its 2025 schedule. The Red Wolves are also set to play at Texas A&M and host Iowa State.

In addition to the games set for War Memorial Stadium, Arkansas announced it has added a non-conference game with the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in Fayetteville on September 14, 2024.
