Betty Sue Pennington

Visitation and viewing for Betty Sue Pennington will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Atchley Cemetery in Dalark with a graveside service to follow at 10:30 a.m.

Betty Sue (Hall) Pennington, 75, of Stephens went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Betty was born February 13, 1945 in Stephens. She retired from Foxborough Ceramics which she owned and operated along with her husband Roy for many years. She was a longtime faithful member of the First Baptist Church in McNeil.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Roy B. Pennington, whom she thanked God for all the wonderful years she had with her soulmate; her parents, Clarence “C.C.” and Euna (Miller) Hall; Roy’s parents, LeRoy and Lynda Maude Pennington; brother, Charles Hall; and sisters, Hazel Williams, Lena Autrey, and Minnie Tribble.

Betty is survived by her son, Jerry Pennington and wife Judy of Rison; daughter, Lynda Dean and husband Nick of Bryant; grandchildren, Kyle Pennington and wife Nicole of Hot Springs, Ethan Pennington of Rison, Bailey Dean of Bryant, Kristol Anderson and husband Jason of Pine Bluff, Jessica Mason of Pine Bluff, and James Pennington; brother, James Hall and wife Carlyn of Mount Ida; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Visitation and viewing will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Atchley Cemetery in Dalark with a graveside service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Bro. Ken Williams will officiate. Services are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc.

Pallbearers will be the Men’s Brotherhood of First Baptist Church, Bill Givens, Jeff Farrar, Mitch Goldman, Billy Paul Dodson, Mike Teutsh and Doug Fields.

Bettys’ last wishes were for everyone to be kind, considerate, understanding, and to be a best friend to one another.

The family requests memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church, 451 Gum, McNeil, AR 71752.
