Marilyn Dixon, 80, of Magnolia passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Wentworth Place.
Marilyn was born April 10, 1939 in Columbia County, Arkansas to the late Raiford and Rena (Terral) Gunnels. She was a homemaker and a lifelong and faithful member of the Antioch East Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bobby Gunnels; sisters, Frances Cotton, Billie Mooney, Glenda Hutcheson and Delois Cheatham.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth Dixon of Magnolia; sons, Steve Dixon and wife Cindy of Magnolia and Mark Dixon and wife Lisa of Tyler, TX; grandchildren, Ashley Talley and husband Daniel of Magnolia, James Dixon and wife Ashton of Magnolia, Robert Dixon of Owasso, OK, Claire Dixon of Coppell, TX, and John Dixon of Tyler, TX; great-grandchildren, Dixon Talley and Denton Talley; brother, Sam Gunnels and wife Margie of Prescott Valley, AZ; sister, Barbara Knight and husband Robert of Magnolia; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, February 9 at Lewis Funeral Home of Magnolia.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2020 at Antioch East Baptist Church with Bro. Ron Owen officiating. Burial will follow at the Antioch East Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., in Magnolia.
Pallbearers will be Neal Frazier, Robert Gunnels, Jimmy Hutcheson, Rick Hutcheson, Joe DeLoach and Robert Knight.
