Allan Dale “Woody” Woodard, 77, of TEXarkana passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the Heritage Plaza Nursing Home in TEXarkana.
Woody was born August 29, 1942 in Dubberly, LA and served in the United States Army National Guard. He worked throughout his life in the oilfield and loved spending his time playing a game of dominos with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Odella Woodard; and two brothers, Odelle Woodard and Marshall Caufield.
Woody is survived by his two daughters, Penny Samuel and husband Tracy of Redwater, TX, and Debra Boyd of Luling, LA; granddaughter, Shelby Burnham of Linden, TX; great-grandson, Gunner Grady of Linden, TX; sister, Barbara Parlow of Joaquin, TX; brother, Ricky White of Hope; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and friends.
Woody’s request was that his ashes be laid to rest in the Nubbin Hill Cemetery in Prescott. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to a favorite charity.
Cremation services were provided by Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., in Magnolia.
