George Thomas Reddick, 92, of Magnolia passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 at his residence.
George was born September 21, 1927 in Bethany, LA to the late Herman Reddick and Myrtis (Finley) Wilson. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired after 43 years from the International Paper Company and was a member of the Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church. He was also a taxidermist, which was a hobby he enjoyed for 50-plus years, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Peggy Waller Reddick of Magnolia; son, Tommy Reddick and wife Molly of Lincoln; daughter, Lois Chambless and husband Bill “Chico” of Pine Bluff; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Patrick Reddick and wife Karen of Jonesboro and their children E.J., Lauryn, Breanna, and Emmaline, Randi Dodson and husband Nat of Springdale and their children Brady and Madeline, Kelli Morris and husband C.J. of Fayetteville and their children Tommi and Zachary, Jerry Don “J.D.” Cobb of Pine Bluff, Geoffrey Reddick and wife Lindsey of Springdale and their children Mollie Jo and Murphy, and Shelby Cobb of Pine Bluff; brother, Tommy Ray Riddick of Stephens; sisters, Carol Wallace and husband Steve of Denver, CO and Bobbie Tabor of Magnolia; sisters-in-law, Betty Linton and husband Bill of Waldo and Linda Blackwell and husband Billy of Shongaloo, LA; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, November 8 at Lewis Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Read officiating. Burial will follow at the Greer’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., in Magnolia.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Reddick, Geoffrey Reddick, Jerry Don Cobb, E.J. Reddick, Matt Dodson and C.J. Morris.
