Initta F. Ellis, 78, of Magnolia passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019 at her residence.
Initta was born on September 15, 1941 in Magnolia and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ. She was artistic and enjoyed painting and working in her flower gardens.
She loved being a homemaker and taking care of her family.
Initta was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Hogan and Syble (Knight) Sayers; and brother, Jimmy Ray Sayers.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James C. Ellis; son, Joey L. Ellis; daughter-in-law, Tashia Ellis; grandsons, Preston D. Ellis and Kane S. Patterson; granddaughters, Evylynn G. Ellis and Joci E. Ellis, all of Magnolia; sister-in-law, Donna Lynn Sayers of Rison; nieces, Kaye Owen of Hope and Leigh Richardson of Rison; and life-long friend, Louise Hendricks of Magnolia.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Lewis Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the Lewis Chapel with David Lovejoy and Jasper Jack officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., in Magnolia.
Pallbearers will be Robert Ellis, Rodney Ellis, Kenny Meeler, Kane Patterson, Wade Snider and Tim Porter.
