Funeral services for Tory Johnson will be at noon Saturday, June 6, 2020 at St. John Baptist Church in Waldo.

Tory Kenta Johnson entered this world on September 20, 1982 to Vicky A. Johnson (John H. Johnson) and Roosevelt Johnson.

He transitioned to his eternal home in Heaven on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 in Waldo.

He was a graduate of Waldo High School Class of 2000.

Tory became a member of St. John Baptist Church II in Waldo at an early age. Tory was a beloved son, dedicated father, loving brother, and uncle. He was a man of happiness and love. If you met him, he would befriend you. He was a hard worker and a jack of all trades.

Tory was a loving, caring, and gentle man who would greet everyone with a smile. To know Tory was to love him. The memories he leaves are everlasting.

Tory was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tyree Paschal Jr.; maternal grandparents, Melvin Watson Sr. and Mergie Watson-Howell (Thurman Howell); his brother, John H. Johnson Jr.; and his paternal grandparents, Leon Johnson and Betty Sue Johnson.

Tory leaves to cherish his memories to: his wife, Katrina Johnson of Magnolia; parents, John H. and Vicky A. Johnson of Waldo; daughter, Jaida Wesley of TexARKan; grandparents, Rev. Thomas W. and Esteen Adair of Waldo; great-grandmother, Maggie Madison (Agrippia Madison) of Waldo; three brothers, Torrell Johnson of Houston, Corey Johnson (Iwillie Johnson) of Stamps, John Johnson of TexARKana; five sisters, Krystal Johnson of Washington, DC, Marea Johnson Smith (Calvin) of Waldo, La’Tysha Johnson of Camden, Stacy Johnson of Houston, TX and Dasha Ward of Stamps; his godmother, Linda Dunn Jones (Paul) of Willisville; a special aunt, Annette Johnson of Waldo; and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Marks Funeral Home of Magnolia.

Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, June 6, 2020 at St. John Baptist Church in Waldo. The Rev. Phillip A. Porchia will be the clergyman.

Services are under the direction of Marks Funeral Home, Inc., in Magnolia.
