Ida Pearl Sears Wyrick, 73, of Magnolia passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals in West Monroe, LA.
She was born in Magnolia to the late Venice Sears and Gloria Sears, August 26, 1945.
Sister Ida attended Walker High School in Magnolia. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. She was a member of Mount Superior Baptist Church of Magnolia, where she served as a choir member and financial secretary. She was employed at Shanhouse, Amfuel, and later as an in-home healthcare giver.
Sister Ida was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Venice Sears; sisters, Ida Sears and Bobbie Mallory; brothers, Venice Jr., John, James, Cherry and Jerry Sears.
She leaves cherished memories with her mother, Ms. Gloria Sears; three sons, Raymond (Darlene) Sears, Billy Don (Carla) Wyrick and Stephen (Victoria) Wyrick; three sisters, Winnie Stuckey, Helen (Jerry) McDaniel and Becky Sharp; two brothers, Terry (Kathy) Sears and Bobby Joe Sears; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a close friend, Ms. Girvie Grissom; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends for whom she had had an infectious love.
A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 12 at R.L. Reed Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia.
Burial will follow in the Kings Hill Cemetery in Magnolia under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home of Magnolia.
Officiating will be Rev. Chris Garland.
Visitation will be noon-4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11 at the funeral home.
