Lee Van Brown, 86, of Waldo, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Magnolia Regional Medical Center.
Lee Van Brown was born on February 15, 1933, to the late Lee Gean and Lula Steele-Brown.
Lee Van attended Waldo High School. He united with Katie Brown for 63 years. He worked many years for Elf Roofing in Stephens. In his spare time, he loved to fish, go to the racetrack, and spend time with his family.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Lee Arthur Brown; and three sisters, Essie Lambert, Corine Brown, and Eula Mae Brown.
He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories his wife, Katie Brown; two sons, Lee (Pat) Brown Jr. and Terry (Diane) Brown; four brothers, Lee Andrew Brown, Lee Arthur Brown, Arthur D. Brown and Linzell Davis; three sisters, Shirley Blackwell, Margie Turner and Minnie Brown; seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 10 at R.L. Reed Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia.
Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Waldo under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC of Magnolia.
Officiating will be Bro. Richard Zackery.
Visitation will be held noon to 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
