Cynthia Kay Lewis

Graveside services for Cynthia Kay Lewis will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Lott Burgy-Mount Calvary Cemetery in El Dorado.

On April 18, 1956, Luther and Corine Oliver was blessed with their fourth child of five children, Cynthia Kay Oliver, a beautiful baby girl who was affectionately known as “Kay” and Auntie Kay by family and friends.

Cynthia was educated in the El Dorado School District. She is a graduate of the Class of 1974 at El Dorado High School. Cynthia also attended Compton Community College in Compton, CA.

Kay united with Douglas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized as a child and upon returning to her hometown, she united with Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, where she worked in the nursery until her illness would not allow.

She entered eternal rest on October 13, 2020, at Medical Center of South Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Luther Ray Oliver Jr., and one granddaughter, Kendall.

She was married to Cleophus Lewis and to this union two children were born, Krystle Corin Oliver Lewis and Karla Olivia Oliver Lewis.

Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters; three sisters, Cora J. Ward of Litchfield Park, AZ, Flora J. Collier of Long Beach, CA and Ingrid Annette Evans of El Dorado; four grandchildren, Oliver, Xavier, Kenzlie and Kylie; six nephews, five nieces and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Friday, October 16, at R.L. Reed Funeral Home in Magnolia.

A graveside celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Lott Burgy-Mount Calvary Cemetery in El Dorado under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home. Dr. D.L. Hegler will be the eulogist.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone will be required to wear a mask during visitation and services.
