Linda Sue McMillin

A graveside service for Linda Sue McMillin will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the Stephens Cemetery.

Linda Sue McMillin, 78, of Stephens passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Timberlane Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in El Dorado.

Linda was born September 2, 1941 in Griffithville, Prairie County, AR to the late Paul Irving and Mildred Florine (Calhoun) Eans. Linda graduated from the Arkansas Teachers College in Conway and started her teaching carrier at the Little Rock Air Force Base in North Little Rock. She taught many grades over the years including special education. She served on the Stephens Water Commission and Chamber of Commerce. After retirement she enjoyed volunteering for the Ouachita County Medical Center Auxiliary, Medical Center of South Arkansas Auxiliary and continued to participate in the Literacy Council of Union County. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, traveling and spending time with friends and family. She was a member of the College Avenue Church of Christ where she took part in the Sewing for the Master Ministry and Ladies Bible Class.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Florine Eans; sister, Margret Ann Eans; and husband, James Earl McMillin.

Linda is survived by her children, James Paul Martin and wife Kathy of Fayetteville, John Cole Martin and Lynda Graham of Cabot, and Jamie Carelock and husband John of El Dorado; and grandchildren, John and William Carelock.

To do our part in helping keep family and friends safe from the virus we are requesting a private family graveside service to be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the Stephens Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., in Magnolia.
