Brother Floyd Devareo Dravon Matlock was born on May 19, 1994, in Hope to Douglas Williams and Cassandra Matlock.
He departed his earthly home on Saturday, August 31, 2019, at Christus St. Michael Hospital in TEXarkana.
He attended school at Lafayette County High School.
“Hood” was described as having a heart for the “youngins” in his city, and he would give good knowledge to them even while facing his own life challenges. He was also a noted protector for those he loved and cared for. He will be sorely missed by all the lives he touched greatly.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Betty Jo Matlock and Verdis Scott; grandfather, Curtis James Scott; and loving aunt, Verta Lee Newton.
He leaves to cherish his treasured memories his mother, Cassandra Matlock (Curtis Johnson) of Stamps; father, Douglas Curtel Williams of Gainesville, TX; brothers, Gregory Matlock, Kieven Robinson and DeCalveon Matlock, all of Stamps, JaBorri Johnson and Kaden Scott of Gainesville, TX, and KaShaad Williams and JaQualen Williams of Camden; sisters/cousins, Shanaqueneshia Hector, Queenesia Robinson, and Rodnekia Richardson, all of Lewisville; grandparents, Beatrice Smith, Larry Smith and Freddie Pierce; special sister, Alexus Johnson of Spring Hill, AR; special aunt, Dora Anderson of Lewisville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who all loved him dearly.
Visitation will be noon to 4:30 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2019, at R.L. Reed Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2019 at R.L. Reed Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in McKamie under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC of Magnolia.
