Joyce Arberry was born to the late Napoleon and Emogene Hunter on September 20, 1950.
Joyce united with New Bethel Baptist at an early age. She served on the Usher Board, Kitchen Ministry, church secretary, and Missionary Committee.
Joyce was united in holy matrimony to Cleo Hildreth. To this union two sons were born. Joyce later married Luther Arberry Jr. To this union two daughters were born.
Joyce was employed with Country Pride, El Dorado, and she retired from Amfuel in 2013.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husbands, Cleo Hildreth and Luther Arberry Jr.; two sons, Christopher Hildreth and Corey Hildreth; her parents, Napoleon and Emogene Hunter; and two brothers, Napoleon Hunter and Franklin Hunter.
On March 26, 2021, at 6:13 a.m., Joyce Arberry embraced eternal life in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Joyce’s memories will forever be cherished by her children, Lashun Arberry and Kesha Arberry of Magnolia; eight grandchildren, Shanice Hildreth, Shantrec Hildreth, Eshia Hildreth, Je’quays Jackson Sr., Ja’nari Arberry, Ashanti Hutchins, Zyair Webb and Jadon Arberry; three great-grandchildren, Zayden Hildreth, Jordyn Hildreth and Je’quays Jackson Jr.; bonus daughter, Candice Lindsey Walker; bonus grandchild, Jeremiah Walker; two brothers, Fredrick (Pat) and Robert (Gladys) Hunter; two sisters, Gladys (Johnny) Ross and Francis Clay; sister-in-law, Shirley Hunter; special long-time friend Juanita Gardner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Thursday, April 1 at R.L. Reed Funeral Home.
A graveside celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2021, at New Bethel/St. John Cemetery in Magnolia under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone is required to wear a mask while attending the services and during visitation hours.
