Alvin James Mullins was born June 22, 1949, in Village to Sterling Mullins and Lettie Mae Moore Mullins.
He united with the New Hope Baptist Church in Mount Holly an early age and graduated from New Hope High School in 1967.

He was the father of one child, Aaron Mullins, with whom he had a special bond.
Alvin was a master craftsman. He took great pride in fixing things and making them look better than before. It was amazing what he could do with a can of spray paint and some duct tape.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling and Lettie Mullins; sisters, Velma Hildreth and Lucy Mae White; and brother, Earvin Mullins.
