Funeral services for Jaqueline Denise "Aunt Jackie" Sterling will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11 at Greenville Baptist Church in Stamps.

Jaqueline Denise “Aunt Jackie” Sterling, 51, of Stamps passed away Thursday May 2, 2019 at her home.

She was born June 5, 1967 in Stamps to Willie Sterling and Otistine Little.

Jackie was a 1985 graduate of Stamps High School. She went to work at Homestead Manor in 1994. Jackie was loved by many, especially her great nieces and nephews, who she helped raise and babysat. Jackie loved sports. Her favorite football team was the Cowboys, and her favorite basketball team was the Lakers. She also loved “Monday Night Raw.” Jackie had dreams of one day marrying her favorite TV actor, “The Rock.” Overall Jackie was one her family and friends could depend on when it came to babysitting the kids until they were ready for school. “She was our Rock.”

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers J.D. Little, Carter C. Little, Billy Ray and Ray Stevens.

She leaves to cherish her love and memories seven sisters, Evelyn Sterling, Helen Stricklen, Cynthia Johnson, Murdis P. Sterling and Deborah Young, all of Stamps, Marilyn (Jesse) Chappel of Magnolia and Juanita Sterling of Stamps; 10 brothers, Lee Dolphus (Edna) Adams of Falcon, William Sterling of Lewisville, Ivory Sterling of Fort Worth, TX, Bernard (Silvia) Sterling of Fort Worth, TX, Eddie Ray Little of Flint, MI, Clarence Smith of Shreveport, LA, Raymond Burdette of Oak Pointe, TX, Grover Davis Jr. of Toledo, OH, and Anthony (Kerri) Sterling of Stamps, and Rev. Matthew Sterling of Magnolia; special friends, Gloria Sanders and JoAnn Perry, both of Stamps; and a host of friends and family who will miss her dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11 at Greenville Baptist Church in Stamps. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home LLC of Magnolia.

Officiant will be Pastor Neich Robinson.

Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
