Kendrell Jamal Harris was born on January 4, 2002, in El Dorado to Lisa and Kenneth Harris. For 17 years, he lived a vibrant and happy life with his mom, dad and little sister. Kendrell’s life came to an abrupt end on Saturday, August 24, 2019.
Kendrell was a very smart and intelligent young man. He strived for success, frequently making the honor roll at Magnolia Public Schools. He was a proud member of the Magnolia Panther football team, No. 39.
Kendrell was brought up in St. James COGIC from birth, where he learned about God. During his teen years, he became a member of New Birth Ministries and often fellowshipped with Harvest Time Fellowship Ministries.
Kendrell played the keyboard and drums and loved doing it.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Searcy and Verna Williams, and Eddie Harris Sr.
He leaves to cherish his beloved memories with his parents; two sisters, Jalisa Harris and Shynique Thron; one brother, Centwan Ward; grandmother, Lillie Pearl Harris; special aunts, Jennifer Dismuke and Ethel Wimbley, a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, Magnolia Panthers football team, and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2019, at R.L. Reed Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery in Willisville under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC in Magnolia.
Officiating will be Bishop Robert Blake.
Viewing and visitation will be at R.L. Reed Funeral Home from noon to 4:30 p.m. Friday, August 30, and from 9 a.m. until the start of the service on Saturday, August 31.
