Alice Marie Anderson was born May 14, 1955, to Ezekiel and Izetta Williams in Lewisville. She departed this life peacefully on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at The Waters Nursing Center in Stamps.
She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and united with the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She attended Lewisville High School. She married Henry Anderson Sr., and from this union two sons were born, Henry Anderson Jr. and Antonio Anderson.
She worked at Wanda’s Café for five years and then she went to Lafayette County Memorial Hospital at Lewisville and worked for 10 years. Alice lived a very full and purposeful life. She greeted everyone she met with a huge smile and a joke. Her sense of humor was contagious and will forever be memorable.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Antonio Anderson; four brothers and four sisters.
She leaves to mourn her homegoing one son, Henry Anderson Jr. (Vanessa) of Buckner; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, L.B. Williams (Annette) of TexARKana, and L.C. Williams (Debra) of Lewisville; five sisters, Viola Price of Los Angeles, Beulah Walker of Sacramento, CA, Ruby Mays of Columbus, OH, Minnie McAdoo (Leroy) of Los Angeles, and Lurinza Manning (Earnest) of Richmond, CA; special friends, Mary Butler, Alberta Hardy, and Vertis Pree, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other friends.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Friday, November 20 at Reed Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Lafayette County Football Stadium in Stamps. Burial will follow at Wise Cemetery in Lewisville, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone is required to wear a mask at visitation and during the service.
