Carlton Lee Brown, 77, of Magnolia passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at his residence.
Carlton was born on July 10, 1942 in Ridgely, TN to the late Elick Lee and Edna Earl (Smith) Brown. He served his country in the United States Army and worked at Winston Foster and Milam Construction as a heavy machine operator. He loved hunting, fishing, his dog Warden, and gardening. When the harvest was ready, he and Warden enjoyed taking a ride together to share vegetables with the employees of Homestead Manor, where his wife Patsy worked.
Carlton was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gary Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Patsy Parks Brown of Magnolia; daughter, Melinda Brown Norman of Magnolia; sons, Carlton Lynn Brown and wife Rachel of Montgomery, TX and Craig Brown and wife Vicki of Benton; stepsons, Shawn Rowe and wife Donna of Mammoth Springs, Tracey Rowe and wife Autumn of Stamps, and Jason Rowe and wife Julie of Magnolia; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Whittten and husband Pete of Union City, TN; Shirley McDaniel of Ruston, LA: mother of his children, Dianne Williams of Magnolia; and his German shepherd companion of 12 years, Warden.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday at Lewis Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John F. Howell officiating. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery in Waldo with military honors under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Brown, Kelly Blair, Randal Foster, Brandon Turner, Bruce Norman and Ryan Williams.
