Gladys Pinson, 97, of Magnolia passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Wentworth Place.
Gladys was born on March 28, 1922 in Banks to the late Alvin Grover “A.G.” and Jobie Lee (Erwin) Carter. She was a member of the Unity Church Magnolia and was a homemaker who was amazing at cooking, gardening, and canning. There was nothing she could not and would not do.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Franklin Pinson; son, Donald Pinson; nine brothers and sister; son-in-law, Doug West; great granddaughter, Kaitlyn; great grandson, Hank Bollen; and great-great grandchild, Braelynn.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Pinson and Kathy of Taylor; daughter, Sandi West and Teddy of Taylor; sister, Everine Neeley of Village; grandchildren, Donna and Dan, Shonda and Herbert, Shannon and Brad, Jackie, Jennifer and Eric, Jerri Lynn and David, James, Chad and Lee, and Todd and Shela; great grandchildren, Taylor, Gage, Jaycee, Grayden, Grayson, Georgia, Hollis, Haley, Cassie, Beth, Lisa, and Audrea; nine great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Unity Church Magnolia with Rev. Wayne Gore, Bro. Travis McKamie, and Bro. Hagen Lister officiating.
Glady’s nephews will serve at pallbearers.
Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at the Campground Cemetery in Hampton under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
