Clarence Baker, 72, of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana.
He was born on December 22, 1939 in Magnolia, Arkansas to the late W.W. Baker and Ina Lela (Beene) Baker. He was a Scout executive for the Boys Scouts of America and an avid hunter.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alvin Baker; and a sister, Joann Baker Timmons.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Sarah Baker of Magnolia; three sons, Andrew Clarence Baker of Mountain View, Arkansas, Carl Edwin Baker and wife Mary of Tacoma, Washington, Todd Fincher Baker and wife Laura of Branson, Missouri; a daughter, Julie Ann Holloway and husband Lyndale of Lafayette, Louisiana; eight grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Myatt of Monroe, Louisiana.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cranford Graves officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., of Magnolia. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until service time.
