Ruby D. Burton-Harris, 65, of Magnolia passed away Monday, December 9, 2019, at Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals in Little Rock.
She was born April 2, 1954, in Devers, TX to Jessie Burton and Aline Johnson-Burton. She was a faithful and active member of Bethany Baptist Church in McNeil, serving as the president of the Pastor’s Aide.
Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Margie McBride, Mary Ann Burton and Annie Mae Mannings; and one brother, James Burton.
Treasured memories will remain with husband, Tommie Harris Sr. of McNeil; three sons, Eric L. Burton Sr. (Tonisha) of Magnolia, Mundy S. McKamie (Leshauna) of McNeil and Tommie T. Harris Jr. (Quatasha), of Lewisville, TX; five brothers, Odell Burton (Dina), Jimmie Burton Sr. (Henieretta), Marcus Burton (Darlene), Ervwin Burton and Felton Burton (Barbara Lyne); two sisters, Dorothy Alexander and Edna Burton; grandchildren, Jaylon McKamie, Shaylon McKamie, ZaKiyah McKamie, ZaRiyah McKamie, Zyla McKamie, Brianna Burton, Erika Burton, Eric Burton Jr. and Malcolm Harris; great-grandchildren, Jaiiden McKamie, Brayden McKamie, Haidon McKamie, Arianna Van Hook and Kannon Smith; special friend, Pam Blake; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be noon to 4:30 p.m. Friday at Reed Funeral Home in Magnolia.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Bethany Baptist Church in McNeil. Burial will follow in Watts Cemetery at Waldo under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC., in Magnolia.
The Rev. Kenneth Ross will officiate.
