Jessie M. Warren

Funeral services for Jessie M. Warren will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church in McNeil.

Jessie Mae Joshua Warren was born on September 16, 1932 in Nevada County to Willie Ed Joshua and Ira Lillian Watson. Jessie departed this life on June 18, 2019 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock at the age of 86.

Jessie joined the New Union AME Church in Ogemaw at an early age. She attended Stephens Public Schools.

Jessie worked as a housekeeper and was later employed by Amfuel. She became disabled and retired from Amfuel at age 59. During retirement, Jessie became a Certified Nursing Assistant and cared for the sick.

She was united in marriage on July 12, 1955 to Henry Harold Warren and then joined St. Matthew Baptist Church.

Jessie leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Eliza Torrence of Magnolia and Dianne Marks, Coppell, TX; one son, Rev. Henry Warren (Patricia) of McNeil; four brothers, Willie G. Radford (Missy) of Camden, Joe H. Radford (Sandra) of Kansas City, KS, Joe Joshua of Compton, CA, and James Joshua of Little Rock; one sister-in-law, Chelsea Sandifer, Detroit, MI; 12 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Jessie was preceded in death by her son, Billy Ray Sutton Sr.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church in McNeil.

Interment will be at St. Matthew Church Cemetery in McNeil.

The Rev. Henry Warren will be the clergyman.

Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday at Marks Funeral Home.
