Judy Ann McCoy Adair

Funeral services for Judy Ann McCoy Adair will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Marks Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia.

On February 15, 1965, Judy Ann McCoy Adair was born to the beloved Lorene Cross and Ellis McCoy in Stephens.

Both parents proceeded her in death.

Sister Judy was the youngest of five siblings including two brothers, Jackie and John McCoy, both of whom preceded her in death; and two sisters, Diane McCoy and Mary Arnold.

She attended Stephens High School and graduated in 1983. After graduation, she attended Jobs Corps in Tulsa, OK. After that experience, she united with her life-long partner and other half, Miller G. Adair. To this union two daughters and a son was born.

Judy was a compassionate and loving woman and she showed it throughout her life as well as her career as a caretaker. She worked as a caretaker at various facilities, as well as patients’ homes from her early 20’s up until her health failed her in 2015.

Sister Judy McCoy Adair departed this life in her home in Stephens on Sunday, August 18, 2019.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Miller Gene Adair; two daughters, Sha’Keitha (Keith) McCoy of Rockford, IL and Demetris Adair of Stephens; one son, LaDamian Adair of Stephens; two stepdaughters, Teresa (Larry) Porchia and NeKina (Andrecus) Curry of Stephens; five step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren, all of Stephens; two sisters, Diane McCoy of Stephens and Mary Arnold of Rockford, IL; three sisters-in-law, Nancy Davis and Mary (Eugene) Hughes, both of Stephens, and Betty Davis of Village; four brothers-in-law, Oscar (Annie) Adair and Rance (Melvin Kay) Adair of Camden, Willie (Amy) Adair of Stephens and Willie (Betty) Manning of Magnolia; one aunt, Corene Todd of Stephens; two best friends, Joann Leaks of Stephens and Debbie Wyrick of TEXarkana; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Marks Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Stephens under the direction of Marks Funeral Home.

Clergy will be the Rev. Terry Torrence.

Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Marks Funeral Home.
