Thomas Allen Owen, 75, of Magnolia passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Tommy was born August 3, 1945 in Magnolia to the late Andrew and Nannie Lee (Ware) Owen. He was a senior traffic agent for Dow, Ethyl, and retired from the Albemarle Corporation. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a farmer and raised and showed Polled Hereford cattle and held offices in the Magnolia Polled Hereford Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Paula Paul Owen; infant daughter; sisters, Alice Marie Goodman and Rosemary Rogers; and brothers, James Owen and Harold Owen.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Myrna M. Owen of Magnolia; daughter, Stephanie (Chris) Kemp of Louann; son, Charles (Shanna) Owen of Waldo; sister, Mellody Justice of Wylie, TX; grandchildren, Steve Blair of Louann, Joshua (Charli) Blair of Smackover, Chandler Owen of Russellville, Leah (Jesse) Kemper of Camden, and Monica Owen, of Magnolia; great-grandson, Dex Blair of Smackover; a host of nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends; and his loving and faithful fur baby Skeeter and the late Pansy.
Signing of the guest book and viewing will be from 1-5 p.m. Wednesday at Lewis Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Macedonia Cemetery with Bro. Joe Owens officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., in Magnolia.
