Helen Cleo Harper, 88, of Magnolia passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at her home.
She was born November 22, 1930 to the Wilson Lee Martin and Betty Julie Hayes in Magnolia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Harper; her parents, Wilson and Betty Martin; two brothers, one son, two daughters, five grandsons, and one great granddaughter.
She leaves to cherish her love and memories four daughters, Betty (Robert) Harper of TEXarkana, and Virginia (Ardell) Rankins, Thelma (David) Smith, and Essie Mae (Ertha) Mallory, all of Magnolia; two sons, Harvey Lee (Loretta) Harper of Stephens and Robert Lee (Helen) Harper of Magnolia; three sisters, Bernice Hawthorne of Springhill, LA, Margie Reed of TEXarkana and Bonnie Jean Mallory of Magnolia; special nieces, Roxanne Harden of Jacksonville and Gwendolyn Henderson of Magnolia; a special nephew, Marcus Harden of Magnolia; and a host of grand, great and great-great grandchildren along with friends and family who will miss her dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18 at at Antioch Baptist Church in Magnolia. Burial will follow at Kings Hill Cemetery in Magnolia under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home LLC of Magnolia.
Visitation will be held from noon to 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
