Betty McNiel, 84, of Hot Springs passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Betty was born on February 7, 1936 in Haynesville, LA. Betty, along with her husband Lloyd, owned the Lloyd McNiel Insurance Agency where she worked many years as the office manager.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was active in the UMW Circle 2 and was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, fishing and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vaster Lee Trimble and Pauline (Bailey) Tinsley; infant son, Richard Earl McNiel; and son-in-law, Raymond Jones.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Lisa Jones of Hot Springs; son, Gary McNiel and wife Penny of Wildwood, MO; grandchildren, Laci Jones Lobbs and husband Richard of Mountain Pine, Christopher McNiel and Justin McNiel of Wildwood; great grandchildren, Cody Lobbs, Thomas Lobbs, and Hunter Lobbs of Mountain Pine; brother, Bill Trimble of Maumelle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing and signing of the guest book will be available from 1-8 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Lewis Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Gary Maskell officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., in Magnolia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
