Funeral services for Virginia Williamson will be 1 p.m. Thursday at 23rd Psalms Cemetery in Magnolia.

Virginia Williamson was born on February 8, 1955, to Booker Martin and Christine Evans.

On Sunday, November 8, 2020, she transitioned from her earthly home to her Heavenly home.

Virginia was a 1972 graduate of Walker High School. After graduating, she attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (formerly known as AM&N).

She worked at the Central Arkansas Development Council (CADC) for 15 years as a community and business developer. Virginia became a member of the Order of Eastern Star in 1975. At the time of her passing, she had reached the position of Worthy Matron of Talley No. 87. She was also a member of the Mount Superior Baptist Church in Magnolia, where she remained active until her health failed her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Booker Martin, and Christine Evans; and siblings, Ella Mae, Velma, Edna Mae, Marie, Margie and James “Shelton.”

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Patricia Williamson; son, Douglas Williamson; two god-daughters, Crystal Howell (Rawlin) of Dallas, TX, and Trenedy Curry of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Eric, Arron, Brandon, Brittany, Brianna, Ga’Camron and Ka’Maury; one sister, Corridean Green of Magnolia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, November 18 at R.L. Reed Funeral Home.

A graveside celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 23rd Psalms Cemetery in Magnolia under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home.

Rev. Victor Morgan will be the eulogist.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone is required to wear a mask while attending visitation and services.
