Woman dies

A Delight woman was killed Friday when the vehicle in which she was a passenger overturned.

A wreck Friday in western Clark County killed a vehicle passenger and injured the driver.

According to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report, Bob Sutton 53, of Delight was driving a 2013 Honda CRV west on Arkansas 26 near Davidson Campground Road at about 2:45 p.m.

The vehicle ran off the roadway to the right, struck two trees and then hit a culvert. The vehicle flipped end over end, coming to rest upside down in a creek.

Sutton was injured but his passenger, Kellie Sutton, 50, of Delight was killed.

The driver was taken to Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. The passenger’s body was released to Ruggle Wilcox Funeral Home.

The weather was dry and the road was clear.
