Hot Springs meeting

ArDOT officials will take about intersection improvements planned along the Dr. Martin Luther King Expressway in Hot Springs at a meeting today.

HOT SPRINGS -- Representatives with the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) will be presenting possible projects relating to the U.S. 70 expressway at a community meeting being held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Centre at 305 Forest Lakes Blvd.

Presenting will be Mark Hedley, ArDOT District 6 engineer for the state, and Travis Brooks, of the ArDOT Transportation and Policy Division.

Among the possible projects to be discussed will be those to help traffic flow at the following intersections on the expressway, also known as the Martin Luther King Jr. bypass: Higdon Ferry Road, Central Avenue, Carpenter Dam Road, U.S. Highway 270 West and U.S. Highway 70 West.

The public is invited to attend, and refreshments will be served.
