A former Magnolia resident died in TEXarkana on Thursday morning as he attempted to remove from a roadway an object that had fallen from his vehicle.
According to press reports, Charles French, 41, was in the process of moving from TEXarkana to Queen City, TX. Something fell from his vehicle near the intersection of Jarvis Parkway and Westlawn Drive about 6 a.m.
French was struck and killed while trying to get the object out of the road.
Mr. French was the son of Charles and Linda French of Magnolia, and is survived by his wife, Donna French, four daughters, one son and other relatives.
He was a 1997 graduate of Walker High School.
