A driver and passenger died Sunday in a two-vehicle wreck near De Queen.

Two people, including an unidentified minor driver, died about 6 a.m. Sunday in a two-vehicle wreck on Arkansas 41 south of De Queen in Sevier County.

According to the preliminary Arkansas State Police report, the male minor was driving a 2003 Honda Civic north on the highway when a southbound 2014 Chevrolet Silverado crossed the center line and struck his vehicle.

The minor driver died with one of his passengers, Bernard Edwards II, 22, of Nashville. Another passenger in the minor’s vehicle, Quintin Witherspoon, 22, of Fulton was taken to Christus-St. Michael Medical Center in TEXarkana.

The driver of the Silverado was not injured. Arkansas State Police accident reports do not name minors, or vehicle drivers or occupants who are uninjured.
