The Russellville Aquatic Center has generated over $100,000 in income in its first three months of being open, according to officials at the center and in the parks and recreation department.
The aquatic center soft opened on June 27, and opened full time on June 29. Since that time, the facility has seen steady traffic and usage from a variety of citizens according to assistant manager Melissa Beatty. “We see an array of families and senior citizens, and they’re coming to use the pool daily," she said.
From the time the center opened to October 9, $109,845 was collected, including over $6,000 in the first days of October.
