Woman killed

Angela Marie Craig was killed in a one-vehicle wreck Sunday in Ashley County.

One woman was killed and her fiancé was injured about 5:55 p.m. Sunday in a wreck on U.S. 425 South, east of Crossett in Ashley County.

According to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report, Angela Marie Craig, 39, of Crossett was driving a 2014 model Jeep Cherokee south on the highway. It left the right side of the roadway, then re-entered the roadway and crossed both the southbound and northbound lanes. The Jeep left the roadway again in the northbound lane.

The vehicle rotated in a clockwise manner, ejecting Craig. The vehicle came to a stop on its wheels in the ditch of the northbound lane, facing a northerly direction.

Shawn White, 41, of Crossett was injured and taken to Ashley County Medical Center.

According to their Facebook pages, White and Craig were engaged.

The weather was clear and the road was dry.

The body was released to Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home.

Trooper 1st Class John Pryor investigated the accident.
