The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board took action on two Columbia County retailers during October and November. The agency is a division of the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration.

According to the ABC website, a new permit was granted to El Parian Mexican Restaurant, 1600 E. Main St. in Magnolia, in the "restaurant mixed drink" category.

Application was made by Feliciano Conseco Martinez. There were no objections by public officials including the mayor and chief of police.

In other action, in the week ending Oct. 25 a request was presented by Village One Stop and 82 Grill at 446 Columbia 11E in Magnolia for a transfer of location permit in the "restaurant beer and wine - on premises" category.

According to this month's report, no local retailers were cited for violations or insufficient funds.
