Most oil and gas news in South Arkansas last week was disappointing.

Little South Arkansas activity was reported to the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission last week.

Well Completion

Betsy Production Company of Magnolia has reported that its Deltic-Fullenwider No. 1 was a dry hole. It was drilled to a depth of 7,250 feet in a wildcat location in Columbia County, 1,800 feet FSL and 2,200 feet FEL in Section 3-16S-21W. Work was completed August 31.

Mission Creek OPCP has completed the Willis “A” No. 9, surface hole location 1,842 feet FSL and 974 feet FEL, and bottom hole location 2,351 feet FSL and 971 feet FEL in Section 18-18S-21W in the Dorcheat Macedonia Field of Columbia County. Total depth was to 8,801 feet in the Cotton Valley Zone. Daily production was 66 mcf of gas. Work was finished August 16.

Recompletion

Days Creek Operating Company has finished the recompletion of the Days Creek Smackover Unit 7-2, Section 33-16S-28W in the Days Creek Field of Miller County. Total depth was to 8,254 feet in the Smackover Zone, with perforations between 8,217 and 8,245 feet. No production was reported. Work was finished August 8.
