A report published Saturday on magnoliareporter.com featured an incorrect name and sentence of a Magnolia man who entered a plea to one count of being a sex offender who failed or refused to provide information.

Myron Demain Colvin, 30, acting through his attorney, made the plea Thursday in Columbia County Circuit Court.

Myron Demain Colvin was placed on a suspended imposition of sentence for 10 years.

magnoliareporter.com incorrectly reported that Broderick Colvin had been sentenced to the Arkansas Department of Correction for five years for failure to comply with sexual offender requirements. Broderick Colvin was not the defendant in this case. magnoliareporter.com regrets the error.

Myron Demain Colvin was ordered to pay $150 in court fees, $250 to the attorney fund, and $20 for a jail administration fee.

Among conditions of Myron Demain Colvin’s suspended imposition of sentence are that he cannot commit another felony, drink alcoholic beverages, sell or use illegal substances, associate with known felons or possess a firearm.
