A burst of activity will result from permits granted last week by the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission.

Drilling Permits

G. Smith Oil LLC of Smackover is the operator and Superior Drilling is the contractor for the renewed permit for the Martin Poole No. 7, 577 feet FSL and 769 feet FWL of Section 25-15S-16W in the Smackover Field of Ouachita County Permit depth is to 2,250 feet in the Nacatoch Zone. Work will start as soon as possible

Richy Production LLC of Stephens is the operator and S&S Service Company LLC is the contractor for the Curry "A" No. 11, 436 feet FSL and 1,600 feet FWL of Section 5-15S-19W in the Stephens Field of Ouachita County. Permit depth is to 3,600 feet in the Travis Peak Zone. Work will start Sept. 15.

James Langley Operating Co. of Smackover is the operator and Sewell Drilling LLC is the contractor for the Alphin "W" No. 2, 1,598 feet FSL and 2,343 feet FWL of Section 2-16S-15W in the Smackover Field of Union County. Permit depth is to 3,700 feet in the Travis Peak Zone. Work will start as soon as possible.

Enerco Operating Corporation of Dallas is the operator and Sewell Drilling is the contractor for five well, all in the Fouke Field of Miller County. They are:

Sturgis "N" No. 4, 1,822 feet FNL and 953 feet FWL of Section 1-17S-27W. Permit depth is to 4,600 feet in the Paluxy Zone. Work will start Nov. 20.

Sturgis "F" Unit No. 12, 2,199 feet FSL and 260 feet FEL of Section 2-17S-27W. Permit depth is to 3,800 feet in the Fourth Sturgis Zone. Work will start Oct. 15.

Sturgis "F" Unit No. 14, 2,514 feet FSL and 290 feet FWL of Section 1-17S-27W. Permit depth is to 3,800 feet int eh Fourth Sturgis Zone. Work will start Oct. 21.

Sturgis "F" Unit No. 15, 1,568 feet FSL and 2,016 feet FEL of Section 2-17S-27W. Permit depth is to 4,600 feet in the Fourth Sturgis Zone. Work will start Nov. 1.

Sturgis "F" Unit No. 16, 2,418 feet FNL and 951 feet FWL of Section 1-17S-27W. Permit depth is to 4,600 feet in the Fourth Sturgis Zone. Work will start Nov. 10.

Harvest Oil LP of El Dorado is the operator and Newton Well Services is the contractor for the renewed Gates No. 1, 330 feet FSL and 1,650 feet FEL of Section 28.16S-12W in the Lick Creek Field of Bradley County. Permit depth is to 2,850 feet in the Travis Peak Zone. Work started Thursday.

SS&T Oil LLC of Smackover is the operator and Sewell Drilling LLC is the contractor for the Anthony No. 2, 1,594 feet FNL and 280 feet FWL of Section 7-16S-16W in the Camp Creek Field of Union County. Permit depth is to 2,800 feet in the Tokio/Blossom Zone. Work will start as soon as possible.

Arrowhead Operating of Monroe is the operator and Fran Oil Co. is the contractor for the Kress City Ford Unit No. 9, 991 feet FNL and 1,957 feet FEL of Section 27016S-24W in the Kress City Field of Lafayette County. Permit depth is to 8,300 feet in the Smackover-Ford Sand. Work will start Sept. 1.

Bonanza Creek Energy Resources LLC of Houston is the operator and Reliance Well Service is the contractor for the Caldwell-McWilliams "A" No. 6, 290 feet FSL and 290 feet FEL of Section 13-18S-22W in the Dorcheat-Macedonia Field of Columbia County. Permit depth is to 8,600 feet in the Cotton Valley Zone. Work will start Sept. 22.

Southwestern Energy Production Co. of Houston is the operator and DeSoto Drilling Inc. is the contractor for the Roberson 18-19 1-15H, surface hole location 618 feet FSL and 660 feet FEL, proposed bottom hole location of 280 feet FNL and 660 feet FEL of Section 15-18S-19W in the Atlanta Field of Columbia County. True vertical depth will be 8,927 feet and measured depth of 13,020 feet in the Lower Smackover Brown Dense. Work will start Wednesday.

Well Completions

Betsy Production Company of Magnolia has completed the D. Crowley No. 2, 631 feet FNL and 1,005 feet FEL of Section 27-15S-18W in the Gum Creek Field of Ouachita County. Total depth was 3,500 feet with plug back total depth of 3,034 feet in the Pettet Zone, with perforations between 2,890 and 2,894 feet. Daily production is 3.5 barrels of 25-gravity oil. Work was completed June 16.

Arkansas Production Services LLC has completed the J.E. Murphy No. 5, 1,934 feet FSL and 2,274 feet FWL of Section 28-15S-15W in the Snowhill Field of Ouachita County. Total depth was 5,035 feet and plug back total depth was 4,888 feet in the Smackover Zone, with perforations between 4,878 and 4,880 feet. Work was completed Aug. 15.

Quanico Oil and Gas of El Dorado has completed the Moody "M" No. 3, 380 feet FNL and 280 feet FWL of Section 17-17S-14W in the Champagnolle Field of Union County. Total depth was 6,003 feet, with plug back total depth of 4,380 feet in the Travel Peak Zone, with perforations between 2,080 and 2,084 feet. Daily production is 50 barrels of 40-gravity oil. Work was completed July 29.

Dossie Dews of Mount Holly has completed the Powell et al No. 2, 1,650 feet FNL and 1,650 feet FEL of Section 22-16S-18W in the Salem Church Field of Union County. Total depth was to 5,704 feet, with plug back total depth of 4,382. Perforations were in the Travis Peak Zone at four depths from 4,270 feet to 4,315 feet. Daily production is three barrels of 42-gravity oil. Work was completed Feb. 10, 2010.

Inland Energy LLC of Strong has completed the Ballard No. 1, 1,600 feet FNL and 280 feet FEL of Section 9-18S-13W in the Urbana Field of Union County. Total depth was to 2,510 feet in the Nacatoch Zone, with perforations between 2,270 and 2,300 feet. Daily production is three barrels of oil. Work was completed Aug. 3.

Bonanza Creek Energy Resources LLC of Houston has completed nine wells, all in the Dorcheat-Macedonia Field of Columbia County, and all at in the Cotton Valley Zone with perforations between 8,060 and 8,736 feet. They are:

Franks No. 4-16, 1,003 feet FSL and 1,002 feet FEL of Section 16-18S-21W. Total depth was 8,800 and plug back total depth was 8,690 feet. Daily production was 222 barrels of oil and 721 mcf of gas. The well was completed June 10.

Formby No. 5, 290 feet FNL and 2,164 feet FWL of Section 13-18S-22W. Total depth was 8,800 feet and PBTD was 8,680 feet. Daily production is 30 barrels of oil and 10 mcf gas. Work was completed June 10.

Phillips-Caldwell No. 3, surface hole location 830 feet FSL and 1,572 feet FWL, and bottom hole location 1,018 feet FSL and 1,259 feet FWL of Section 18-18S-21W. Total depth was 8,800 feet and PBTD was 8,790. Daily production is 81 barrels of oil and 633 mcf gas. Work was completed May 20.

Dorcheat Unit No. 52, 1,600 feet FNL and 600 feet FEL of Section 14-18S-22W. Total depth was 8,800 and PBTD was 8,697. Daily production is 120 barrels of oil and 459 mcf of gas. Work was completed June 17.

Dorcheat Unit No. 53, 290 feet FNL and 300 feet FEL of Section 14-18S-22W. Total depth was 8,802 feet and PBTD was 8,675 feet. Daily production is 48 barrels of oil and 296 mcf of gas. Work was completed June 26.

Whitehead-McWilliams No. 3, surface hole 401 feet FSL and 2,551 feet FWL, bottom hole location 290 feet FSL and 2,366 feet FEL of Section 18-18S-21W. Total depth was 8,830 feet and PBTD was 8,740. Daily production is 56 barrels of oil and 640 mcf of gas. Work was completed April 28.

Whitehead-McWilliams No. 4, 1,000 feet FSL and 290 feet FEL of Section 18-18S-21W. Total depth was 8,800 feet and PBHD was 8,730 feet. Daily production was 22 mcf of gas. Work was completed May 11.

Phillips-Williamson No. 3, 286 feet FNL and 295 feet FWL of Section 19-18S-21W. Total depth was 8,800 feet and PBTD was 8,700 feet. Daily production is 65 barrels of oil and 471 MCF of gas. Work was completed April 4.

P.E. Nipper No. 3-14, 1,650 feet FSL and 2,350 feet FEL of Section 14-18S-22W. Total depth was to 8,800 feet and PBTD was 8,678 feet. Daily production is 40 barrels of oil and 454 mcf of gas. Work was completed July 18.

Workovers and Recompletions

Arklatx Operating Company of Smackover reported these workovers and recompletions:

Giller "A" No. 5, 660 feet FNL and 2,440 feet FEL of Section 15-16S-15W in the Smackover Field of Union County. Total depth was to 1,997 feet in the Nacatoch Zone, with perforations between 1,982 and 1,990 feet. Daily production of the workover was a half-barrel of oil. Work was completed Aug. 10.

Elder No. 18, 1,691 feet FSL and 1,650 feet FEL of Section 28-15S-15W in the Snowhill Field of Ouachita County. Total depth was to 3,400 feet in the Cotton Valley Zone, with perforations between 3,360 and 3,361 feet. Daily production is four barrels. The recompletion was finished July 29.

Elder No. 16, 1,620 feet FSL and 870 feet FEL NE SE of Section 28-15S-15W in the Snowhill Field of Ouachita County. Total depth was to 2,900 feet in the Travis Peak Zone with perforations in the Travis Peak Zone between 2,852 and 2.856 feet. Daily production is four barrels of oil .The workover was completed July 29.
