The 2019 Ouachita County Fair will be September 11-14 at its new location, the Ouachita County Recreational Center.
The location is the former Fairview High School on Mount Holly Road in Camden.
Fair activities include events that support young people involved in 4-H and FFA programs. In addition to displays of farm animals, there will be carnival rides and food, talent showcases, craft and food shows and more.
New to the fair will be a pee wee cheer competition, cheer competition, baseball and softball tournament, and a “Ladies Night Out.”
Advanced armbands can be purchased through September 10 for $15 at Ken’s Discount, and the downtown location of Farmers Bank & Trust.
Armbands will be available to purchase at the fair for $20.
Fair admission is $5. Parking is free.
The carnival opens at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and at noon on Saturday. There will be free admission from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday with free hands-on learning activities.
Armbands are not a gate pass.

Wednesday, September 11
7 p.m. MERGE Youth Rally. All churches are invited. Music and speaking by Cliff Preston. Hot dog and drink $1. Gate admission $3.
Thursday, September 12
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Senior Citizens Day, sponsored by Kindred at Home. Free hot dog and drink, bingo.
6:30 p.m. Pee Wee Cheer Competition
Friday, September 14
8 p.m. No Excuses in concert. Bring lawn chairs.
Saturday, September 15
9 a.m. Cheer Competition.
Noon to 6 p.m. Baseball and Softball Tournament. Five colleges will compete for prize money. Winners announced at 6 p.m.
