Fatal wreck

A Camden man died from injuries suffered in a Monday morning accident.

Jason Dale McAteer, 38, of Camden has died from injuries sustained in a Monday morning wreck in Calhoun County.

According to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report, McAteer was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado west on Arkansas 274 about 8:50 a.m. The truck departed the right side of the roadway and collided with a bridge guard rail.

The truck overturned on its top into a dry creek bed and continued to overturn, coming to rest upright, facing west.

The weather was clear and the road was dry.

McAteer was taken to UAMS in Little Rock, where he died.

Trooper Wade Moore investigated the accident.
