Louisiana State Police have arrested Diedra Lee, 38. for insurance fraud and injury to a juvenile.

Louisiana State Police have arrested a Shreveport, LA woman for cruelty to juvenile and two counts of insurance fraud.

Officers received a criminal referral and began an investigation on Diedra Lee, 38.

Lee and her 23-month-old child were passengers on a City of Shreveport bus when it was involved in a collision. Lee attempted to gain payments for bodily injuries for herself and her child which she claimed were a result of the crash.

The investigation revealed Lee intentionally caused her child’s head to strike the back portion of the seat in front of the child. The investigation also revealed Lee knowingly presented false information in an attempt to defraud an insurance company. On July 26, an arrest warrant was secured on Lee.

On August 6, 2019, Troopers located and took Lee into custody at a convenience store. Lee was booked into Caddo Correctional Center for cruelty to a juvenile and two counts of insurance fraud.
