Magnolia Police are investigating an overnight incident that left one man injured with gunshot wounds.
City, Columbia County and Southern Arkansas University lawmen responded to southwest Magnolia shortly before midnight Friday after several reports of gunshots were received.
One witness told police that people in two different vehicles fired upon each other. One house in the 100 block of Beene Street was reported to have been struck by gunfire.
At about 12:20 a.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to the emergency room at Magnolia Regional Medical Center. A person had gone to the ER for treatment of gunshot wounds.
It was not immediately clear if the two incidents are connected.
