Customers of the Dorcheat Water Association have been asked to conserve water.
The association, which has 751 customers in the area of Arkansas 19 and Arkansas 160 in southwestern Columbia County, went under a precautionary boil order on Friday due to broken pipes causing low water pressure.
The association wants customers to check their pipes for breaks, and to turn off dripping faucets. It is trying to refill its tanks and needs customers to stop any unnecessary water use.
People who do not live on property they own within the association’s boundaries have been asked to call 870-904-5197 or 870-299-9111 so that a system operator can turn off water to your property.
The precautionary boil order remains in effect.
