Building permits

The City of Magnolia has issued $4,006,478 worth of building permits in 2018.

The City of Magnolia issued $664,500 worth of building permits during the month of June.

The figure includes two new houses. In 2017, the city issued building permits for the construction of nine houses. The city has issued six permits for new houses so far this year with a total construction value of $1,753,000.

The June permits:

Vision Outdoor Media, 555 E. Main, sign, $75,000, June 4.

Watson Home Improvement, 26 Regency Circle, remodel, $30,000, June 5.

John Phillips, 529 S. Jefferson, porch, $2,500, June 7.

Chance’s Sprinkers, 459 Country Club Drive, sprinkler system, $3,000, June 12.

Pharr Construction, 1302 Tall Timber, new residence, $220,000, June 20.

Anderson Homes, 418 Goode Circle, new residence, $330,000, June 20.

El Compadre, 2430 N. Dudney, sign, $4,000, June 21.

The city has issued $4,006,478 worth of building permits through the first six months of 2018. The city issued $4,032,585 worth of building permits through the first six months of 2017. The city issued $901,600 worth of permits in June 2017, with $750,000 going to MedArk, Inc., to remodel the former Rails Restaurant at 1701 E. North for the medical clinic of Dr. James Chambliss and Dr. Ked Davis.
